Katie Hards

I am a nurse, doctoral student and educator with a strong commitment to person-centred diabetes care. My career spans major changes in diabetes management, from the days of glass syringes and urine testing to today’s rapidly evolving technologies, which continue to inspire me to improve care and outcomes.

I work at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as a Lead Diabetes Nurse, with responsibility for both inpatient and outpatient services. Being person-centred is not only central to my professional practice but also a core personal value.

Outside work, I am a mother, grandmother and dog owner, and I value family life alongside my clinical and academic roles.
